This large tree like shrub begins producing showy, vibrant yellow blooms while other attractive plants go dormant during Winter. In late Autumn to Winter, Christmas Senna erupts with exotic color that is bound to keep a landscape looking lively. While its flowers are interesting enough,Cassias have an unusual leaf structure that adds visual interest even when they are not blooming. The ultra-soft, small round leaves of Winter Cassia are extremely delicate, but beautiful. To avoid issues with this plant's soft foliage and stems as it matures be sure to prune it regularly, which encourages branching and stability.
