Description: Ceramic Art Studio MCM Figurine Sung-Tu Kneeling Asian Woman Betty by Harrington This mid century figurine is preowned and in very good condition and is part of a larger collection of Asian inspired collectibles. It was made by Ceramic Art Studio (C.A.S.) in Wisconsin which unfortunately did not stay in business due to rising Japanese imports. The artist that created the figurine design is Betty Harrington and this piece was made in 1949. The figurine is titled Sung-Tu and she is kneeling in traditional dress with detailed hand painted features and is holding an open, crimped fan. On the bottom, it unfortunately does not have the felt liner that ran across the bottom. The piece does not have any obvious chips, cracks or crazing. It is hand painted so there may possibly be some flaws in the paint strokes. She measures approximately 3 & 3/4" tall x 1 & 1/4" wide x 2 & 1/4" long (sides). It is truly a nice, colorful and shiny piece that is looking for her next home!
