Blue velvet on interior bottom. The box has some wear and stains from storage and one of the brass latches is missing. This is a set of 6 steak knives and carving knife and fork bearing the Cartier brand. The handles are marked Cartier Sterling with Whiting, "W" Marking , the blades are marked Stainless Made in Sheffield England. Each knife is approximately 9" long. The handle is approximately 4" long. Blade 4 3/4" The blades are serrated. They are very sharp. The Carving Knife is 10" long. Handle 3 3/4 5 3/4"Blade Not serrated.
