Description: Up for sale:Vintage Braun KM3 Food Processor Mixer Küchenmaschine 220V-110V Transformer Included!Estate sale back of pantry find!A classic example of Braun industrial design, we date this unit to the 1980's as the bottom plaque specifies Made in West Germany.We have tested this unit (in the US) with a modern step-down transformer and the unit functions at all speeds as intended, please see the attached video. We are including the pictured transformer in this listing, this unit will function with the US 110 volt standard when plugged into the transformer. Of course the unit will function with the 220 volt standard without having to be plugged into the transformer. This unit shows discoloration and yellowing to the plastic (heavier yellowing on the bowls,) with lots of scratches and marks all typical of a kitchen appliance close to 30 years old.Lots of wear, metal discoloration and oxidation can also be seen on all the metal and rubber components, all typical of age and use.There are two cracks to the plastic head unit which do not affect the function of the mixer, please see the last two photos. A small melted area on the bottom of the larger plastic bowl can be seen.As we place some of our items with film and television period productions (who value authentic patina, distress and age) we have left this mixer and all the included components in the original, as-found condition. Both the mixer and the bowls could use a thorough cleaning if they are to be used and displayed in the home.
