Passed down in the 1970's, but held in the family since the 1940's, these original tie-roll pouches, are for protecting and storing your silverware. Slots for 6 pieces are stitched to separate each piece of silverware, Lovely silvery color thread with whip-stitching around the entire borders. Insert your silverware, fold the flap over, roll it up and tie it. Original ties still securely attached. The Birks Jewellers (note Canadian english spelling) logo on each pouch. Good vintage condition considering their age. They have been gently stored for many years but had been well used in the past. There are several tarnish spots/stains often seen on pouches this age, and the whip-stitching has come loose on the corner of one of the pouches (photos 7 & 8).
