Description: Biorad Microplate Reader, 3550-UV, 96 well plates, multiple wavelengths. This is an old unit that has been in storage for many years. It appears to be still working. The menu screens come up and can be navigated/selected. I did a functional test by applying a dye in specific wells and the readout reflects values that match dye locations (see pictures). A random dye was used and the test in no way is quantitative but does show operation (e.g. the reader moves the plate properly and the column of optical readouts appear to be working). The unit has multiple wavelength options. Note that I have not made any attempts to test anything beyond the basic test shown with the pics.
