Description: What a GREAT attic find!!! I'm just going through a treasure trove from this estate and thought I'd post this little gem today. All these photographs, many with autographs and personalized inscriptions (to Paul Boyer) were acquired in 1939. I showed the postmarks on a couple of the backs of the cards etc. to confirm the year. I am also including the photos that were not autographed as well, Louis Armstrong, Christmas card from Tommy Dorsey etc. The collection is great with some super signatures, but of course the crown jewel is the 8x10 autographed photo of Lady Day....Billie Holiday! It has her address on the back where she lived in NY with her mother in 1939. And what a year for her with the recording of "Strange Fruit".....
