Description: Maker: Purchased at the estate sale of an elderly antiques dealer, this beautiful antique Imari cup and saucer set has no maker's mark. It is almost certainly English in origin. Design: The pattern is a variation of the classic Imari design produced by many English makers. The pattern number 249 is handwritten in gold on the back of both pieces. Size: The saucer is 5 5/8 inches wide. The cup is 3 1/2 inches wide and 2 1/8 inches tall. The set weighs 7.3 ounces. Condition: Both pieces are in excellent condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, scratches, stains, discoloration or repairs. There is light wear to the saucer's cup slot and a tiny dark spot embedded inside the cup - it's visible in the photos.
