Description: Beatles 3rd State Nicely Peeled LA #6 Butcher Cover Please read entire description/auction terms prior to bidding on this item. Thank You If you've been looking for a rarer peeled LA #6 Mono Butcher Cover that won't make you deplete your savings account, then this one might be for you. While this may not be near mint, this is a decent example for the price range. Please read the jacket description below for specific details on condition and more about this jacket. Most LA designated 2nd state trunk covers were adhered for Capitol Records by the Modern Album Company during the paste over process with a difficult to remove adhesive. For every nice one that exists, there are probably a thousand bad to mediocre peels. Most of the severely damaged 3rd state covers you see on the internet for sale are improperly peeled LA Jackets. Look around and compare. Perhaps not for the super picky collector, but that special someone who wants a rarer and harder to peel LA Butcher Cover but doesn't want to spend $1500 to 2k or more. Please check our positive feedback for customer satisfaction of past sales of genuine Butcher Covers. Also look at realized prices of completed auctions and compare. This item will be safely and securely double boxed and shipped to you via Priority Mail. Please read complete description prior to bidding. Condition: Front of Jacket: Front Butcher Slick has been nicely peeled, presents better than most #6 peels on the market. As usual, the colors on this are pretty vibrant as is the case with most of the LA jackets. (Please see photos for exact condition). Please see photos to verify specific condition and feel free to contact with questions. Seams: Top seam appears mostly split and re-adhered with hinging tape (see close up of top seam). Bottom seam appears to be mostly intact. Due to the above mentioned repairs, overall age and frailty of the nearly 60 year old seams, a record should never be placed into this jacket. Spine: Spine appears to have splitting/chipping of the paper on a majority of the spine. As a result, spine writing/paper is mostly missing. It doesn't appear that mending tape was used on the spine. (See Spine photos). Back Of Jacket: The back of the jacket isn't too bad. Tape residue near the spine side and a few minor stains and light wear and tear but nothing too tragic. (see photo of back of jacket). Trunk Slick: Sorry but there is no trunk slick included. Record/Inner Sleeve: 1966 LA Record and Inner sleeve are included but the record is pretty whipped and visually in poor condition. Tons of scratches on vinyl and looks to have been played hundreds of times by a teenager(s) on a cheap phonograph. Not worth playing but included because it came with this jacket. Inner sleeve is not too bad with some wear and tear and an approximate 4" bottom seam split. Terms Of Auction/Shipping: Due to recent inflation and subsequent increases in actual USPS shipping costs, Buyer pays $29.99 for properly packed double boxed priority shipping with tracking. Shipping of such a high value, large package with significant weigh is costly and labor intensive and will likely be more that what is being charged here. Regardless, the cost to you will be capped at $29.99. Bidders with low feedback or new accounts must contact us prior to bidding on this item. Seller reserves the right to cancel bids at any time. Due to the exceptional cost and labor involved in shipping this item, this is being sold "AS IS" and there are No Returns on this purchase. Please review all photos and descriptions and please contact with questions prior to bidding. This item has been through a laborious process from the 2nd state to what you see here, and as such, the grading is unique on this item. This cannot be graded like a comic book or a baseball card due to the fact that this jacket has twice been altered from its original state, once by the paste over process at the Capitol Factory and likewise by the peeling process. Any minor imperfections are from either process. The photos speak for themselves and we do our best to accurately grade these historic artifacts. Thank You !
