Description: Batman and Robin #22 In "Dark Knight vs. White Knight, Tree of Blood Part 3," Batman and Robin search for the relatives of Arkham Asylum inmates, only to find the White Knight has taken them. He orders them to "not add to the world's pain" and "take flight to the night." Although Batman and Robin can't prevent his command, they jam the signal and save many with nets. Inside the Batbunker, Dick, Damian, and Alfred debate nature versus nurture. The White Knight, believing in nature, has condemned the inmates' relatives to death to prevent future evil. He then assaults Arkham, illuminating the asylum and informing the inmates of their relatives' fate. Revealing himself as the son of a guard killed in a riot, marked by Doctor Phosphorus, he vows to purify them and the world. Batman and Robin intervene, with Batman thwarting the White Knight and Robin saving him from Zsasz. Batman neutralizes the bomb and destroys the White Knight's arclight. Lewis Bayard, now with angel wings, is incarcerated in Arkham, as the White Knight adds Batman and Robin figures to his tree.
