Bay has recently entered into a creative agreement with Vault Comics, and this would effectively sit him in the director's chair. Set to star in the series is actor Sam Clafin as Owen and Sir Patrick Stewart will voice the part of Axe. As a comic book series, Barbaric is relatively short. Launched in 2021, Barbaric's story is divided among three separate Volumes of three issues each. A more recent spin-off series, Barbaric: Queen of Swords, has also been released, with a second spin-off series on the horizon.
