Acceptable condition has major scratches, excessive wear to the body, potential to having of color or marks, and may be dented and/or dinged. iPods may have engravings *Additionally the 8th gen is actually more of a reference to color since Apple oddly enough released the same iPod twice at two different times but with almost exactly the same type of colors, just slightly different shades on some and others the exact same color. 8th gen is an ebay classification and online seller classification. There is no difference between the 7th and 8th gen other than shade of color. When plugged into iTunes or searched online, both and all model numbers will show up as 7th gen.
