Description: Early Wedgwood butter dish or cheese tub in blue. Clearly marked on the bottom, the lid is also marked, stamped James Deakin & Sons on the hardware. Direct from a local estate and in nice condition. The only chip is very small and on the outside of the bottom edge-see close up. No other chips, no cracks, no repairs, smooth edges. Overall the outside of this piece is rather clean. Interior of dish is very nice, minor shelf wear on the bottom. The lid (unpolished) is showing moderate patina, tarnishing, minor scuffs etc. Also, it is ever so slightly out of round or bowed. Very subtle but it doesn't quite lay flat, could probably be straightened out. No dents, no cracks, handle is solid and straight. Please refer to photos and let me know if you have any questions. 4 11/16" diameter, 3" tall with lid, 1 7/8" without. Buyer to pay actual USPS or FedEx shipping and handling charges anywhere in the US. Careful packaging and insurance included. THANKS FOR LOOKING!!!
