Description: ONE OF A KIND GIFT FOR THE SCIENCE GEEK IN YOUR LIFE! This beautiful piece of laboratory treasure is part of a collection from a 100 year old junior college. When the 1930s-era science laboratory building was renovated, many of the "older" specimens were parsed out. Though I cannot with certainty date this display box, it must be pre-1967, as the General Biological Supply House closed its doors that year. I would estimate this item to be circa 1950. This is a beautiful example of a vintage specimen museum mount of the Anopheles and Culex Mosquitoes' Life Cycle. The samples are in great condition and show no degradation. An excellent addition to a classroom or general decor. Please view the pictures carefully. As you can see, all labels are clear and intact, with no evidence of deterioration. The item is original condition with no chips or breaks. Item Dimension 12" x 8.25" If you have any questions, please contact me before purchase and I will assist in any way I can. Or if you want to buy multiple items and want to make a deal! Let's talk! I have a collection of these specimens I am selling off, so see my other listings for more options! Buyer is responsible for all shipping and handling costs. The flat rate of $65 will cover the insurance, packaging, shipping, and delivery of "dangerous substances" by FedEx Ground Services. Signature will be required for delivery. DOING BUSINESS AS A NEW SELLER: The last picture is from my previous account with eBay. I was forced to close it down this year due to a death in the family. There was no way for eBay to preserve my listings and seller/buyer status for me, so I included the screenshot to help buyers out as I move to this new account.
