Description: For your consideration we have a wonderful Gilt Bronze Dragon Crystal Ball stand from the Qing dynasty of China. Most likely from the 17th or 18th century based on other similar examples. We acquired this piece from an auction of a well known Asian antiques/appraiser here in Los Angeles. This piece is two entwined standing five-claw dragons, each holding a flaming pearl in one clenched hand in front, with spiky scales and features strongly modelled . There is a similar example illustrated in THE SECOND BRONZE AGE, LATER CHINESE METALWORK, catalogue by Paul Moss and Gerard Hawthorn, 1991 Measures about 9¾in. (24.7cm.) long. In good antique shape, there are some spots of patina and wear. Please see all photos of condition as well. Will be packed with care and insured for the purchase price. Thanks for looking and let me know if you have any questions!
