Description: Antique Pewter Footed Creamer, DIXON & SON, England, c. 1845 - 1870. This small footed creamer is very attractive with a shaped rim, applied handle and molded body. The creamer is also marked, "68 DIXON & SON - 1732." This is a fine pewter creamer that is in very good condition offered with a Buy It Now. James Dixon & Sons Sheffield firm, founded in 1806 by James Dixon. In 1811 became a partnership Dixon & Smith. In 1822 the company moved to Cornish Place and became Dixon & Son, then in 1835 became James Dixon & Sons. The firm continued to be a family run enterprise until 1976. DIMENSIONS: The creamer is 5 7/16" H. x 3 3/16" W. x 5 7/8" L. from the tip of the spout to the back of the handle. CONDITION: The overall condition is very good with no damage or repairs.
