Description: Fantastic door from the mid-19th Century! It was original to an 1867 bank barn that was reclaimed near Logansport, Indiana. The door is well made, but the last board has been replaced many years ago and does not quite match, but trying to replace it would look even worse. One of the rusty hinges fell off, but is still available to be used with the door. The door is still very sturdy and can be used. None of these items are perfect after being used for over 150 years. The brown/gray old growth wood will display wonderfully in a house or outbuilding. The surfaces are completely original; the same texture and feel of the grain that this lumber had over a century ago. The door is almost square, measuring approx. 35" tall x 37.5" wide, and is approx 2" thick. Please take a look at all of the photos to see the great quality of this door. Rarely are such old items found so complete. The hours of craftsmanship that produced such a sturdy product have stood the test of time. You do not see this level of quality and patina on newer lumber. A truly one-of-a kind rustic barn door.I offer local pick up at my lot just North of Greenville, Ohio for free. I will do my best to do business with an interested customer.I have been salvaging barns across western Ohio and Indiana for over 20 years. I come across dozens of hand hewn beams every month, so if you need a certain dimension of a beam or board, please let me know as I have a large variety of salvaged wood. I have 4-sided beams, posts, beams for mantles, and 2-sided logs that can be used in log cabins, all of a variety of species of wood including oak, hickory, ash, beech, and sometimes walnut and pine. All of this reclaimed wood is original, old growth lumber, with most of it being 200-400 years old. They make unique, beautiful architectural accents in houses and outbuildings. I have plenty of other accessories such as barn doors, lightning rods, hay hooks, pulleys and barn track. PLEASE do not hesitate to reach out to me if you require such items for a construction and/or salvage project. I will try to work with any possible buyer as best I can. Thank you
