This old doctor bag is in very old, but is still in fair to good condtion, does have signs, of age, wear, and use, the leather is distressed, has a small discoloration just under close in front, shown in pictures, not stained inside and no odors and it really does display nicely! *** No Key, but the latch works, the two brass piece s on the ends slide, it is hard to figur eout how to open, but, once you do, it opens ok. Looks like brass hardware, bag measures 16" wide by 5 deep and aprpox 8" high, with 2 handles. Unknown maker or age, but it is quite old, 1930s or earlier, this is awesome with the distressed look adding to its charm and potential for dispaly.
