Description: Absolutely darling and rare pair of antique French Raynal cloth toddler/baby dolls c1920's-30's. Each doll has side glancing eyes with one doll's eyes looking to the left and the other's eyes to the right so that they look like they are glancing at each other. So adorable! Raynal toddler/baby dolls are quite rare, but to find an original pair of twin babies is almost unheard of! It is so hard for me to let these cuties go! The dolls heads are made of pressed felt and their arms and legs are covered with a cotton velour type of fabric. Their bodies are covered with a smooth cotton and their hands are made of celluloid. Each baby wears her original cotton voile dress and hat and they also wear their original leather shoes. In my opinion, it doesn't look like the hats have ever been removed. Each doll is in wonderful condition with a few minor flaws to note. Their little faces are in pristine condition with no flaws to note. The painted facial features are still factory fresh and bright; just beautiful! Each doll's blond hair is lovely and in excellent condition. The only flaws to note include a couple of soil marks on the legs and arms and one doll shows a light soil mark on her tummy. The doll's dresses and hats are in overall very good condition with a couple of small tiny little holes to be found in their fine voile dresses and hats. Otherwise the clothing is in fresh, lovely condition with no soiling. Please see photos for further details. Each doll measures 17" in height.
