The most collectible rugs and carpets from this area are those woven between 1800 and 1900. The late 19th century is the last hurrah for village and nomadic rugs. By the early twentieth century, they no longer used natural dyes, and the designs and weaving were much less appealing.ABOUT ELI PEER ORIENTAL RUGS Our Service Pledge We respond to all orders within 24 hours, we guarantee the authenticity of all our items About Us The home of Eli Peer Oriental Rugs is Evanston, Illinois, the academic center on Chicago’s North Shore.
