Description: Antique Birdseye Maple Dresser with Swivel Mirror This is a well made, early 19th century piece with one of the original brass locks still in tact (no key). The dresser is not perfect, but its beautiful again. * Removed 3 layers of old paint from the top and uncovered beautiful birdseye maple underneath. Refinished in a walnut stain and 3 coats of poly.* The rest of the dresser is painted in a bright white. Some of the old paint on the top and in the drawers remains as it shows some of the past.* The original handles were removed, new period appropriate brass was added.* The wood carving details on the dresser and mirror are beautiful.* The beveled mirror is very heavy, it swivels and has some scratches that don’t take away from it.* The drawers are dovetailed, made of maple and move smoothly, the bottom drawer needs just a little nudge to close.* The top middle drawer (with lock) has an inner wood box that can slide to the back, front or be removed.* Original casters are also included but not on the dresser now. Size: 52” L x 24” W x 32” H (with mirror 70” H overall)Small drawers: 5-1/2” deepLarge drawers: 7-1/2” deep
