Description: A 5 1/2 inch tall rectangular-shaped beautiful DEEP COBALT BLUE color antique VENERAL DISEASE medicine bottle. Very similar to KR-55 in the book on ANTIQUE POISON bottles. The label on this bottle is a label that was originally on a machine made bottle. Labeled examples are NOT too hard to find but the labeled ones are newer machine made bottles. What is hard to find is this bottle here, an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand Blown Into Mold bottle (BIM) with a tooled top, dating back to the early 1900's. Bottle embossed: "FOR / EXTERNAL / USE ONLY / PRESCRIPTION / 1000 REESE CHEM. CO. / EXTERNAL / USE 4 TIMES DAILY / MFG BY / REESE CHEM Co / CLEVELAND / O." For EXTERNAL use ONLY, this was a POISON bottle, not to be consumed. Condition: Bottle is in nice clean condition. It has some age wear/patina, NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc. Age: An ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand Blown-Into-Mold (BIM) bottle, ca. early 1900's. Shipping: FREE DOMESTIC shipping. We DO ship Internationally but we do NOT insure International orders UNLESS BUYER SPECIFICALLY REQUESTS THIS AND WE ARE ABLE to provide an insurance estimate. It is becoming increasingly difficult to insure international orders and the price can exceed the price of the item, which can negate the sale. If an international shipping charge is much more than the actual shipping cost, we will refund the excess so what YOU pay for shipping/insurance is very close to, if not exactly, the ACTUAL shipping costs! This is important for foreign buyers to know as most of our foreign shipping charges are estimates. We do not falsify information on the Customs Form, such as a price other than what the actual purchase price is, so please do not request us to do so. We ship several times a week and your prompt payment will hasten the turn-around time. We've seen old advertisements for this product that show that this was a venereal disease medicine, to be used externally. That is why is resembles a poison botte, the contents was NOT to be ingested or taken internally was for EXTERNAL USE ONY. The BLUE BOTTLES are POISON bottle, for EXTERNAL USE ONLY. There are also GREEN BOTTLES that look just like the blue but in a little larger size and the GREEN BOTTLE were for INTERNAL USE, their contents was okay to consume. The blue vs. the green, the BLUE is the more collectible bottle. Most EVERY ONE of these that you see for sale on eBay are newer ABM MACHINE MADE bottles, but THIS ONE is the REAL THING, an old hand blown into mold = BIM. The label on this bottle is a label that was originally on a machine made bottle, check it out!Terms of Sale: Our goal is 100% customer satisfaction.
