Description: Antique 1903 Willcox & Gibbs Tuck Marker Sewing Machine Attachment with Original Box & Instructions. The instructions show a form number and a date in very small print at the top. It reads: "Form 91 - 7. 9. 1903 - 168,"I assume 7. 9. 1903 refers to July 9, 1903. I don't know what the 168 refers to.The Tuck Marker is 100% complete and in useable condition. There is some wear to it, but overall it is in excellent condition. There is an area where the nickel plating has worn off (see photos). It has the Willcox & Gibbs trademark stamp on it. It also is stamped with "E.J. Toof - New Haven Conn." Edwin Joseph Toof was a manufacturer of sewing machine accessories. I assume he made these tuck markers for Willcox & Gibbs. It is interesting to note that the box has the address of 658 Broadway, New York, and the instructions have the address of 85, 87, 89 Bleeker Street, New York. Both of these addresses are about 1 block apart in central lower Manhattan. There is also and antique bobbin. I don't think the bobbin has anything to do with the tuck marker, it was just in the box.All of these things (tuck marker, box & instructions) are in very good condition. Please see the photos.
