I recently acquired a wonderful collection of original early 19th Century British political satire cartoons by many of the masters including James Gillray, George Cruikshank and others. In doing research I have only found a few examples of this original This one is an early work by Rowlandson. A good example. Image measures about 9 3/4 x 13 3/4 on sheet measuring 14 x 19 1/2 inches. Image has never been colored. Consistent toning to the image. The margins show some minor toning, a little darker in the lower margin, to the edges but nothing too bad. A few small edge chips and tears but nothing too bad. A great example of this scarce early original. Do your own research on this political satire engraving.
