And so I decided one day after writing many poems that seemed to break all the rules of poetry, to write a book, because something interesting started happening: I began to love these poems that I hated.Understand that the words in this book do not intentionally adhere- at least not consciously- to one theme or structure. These are a bunch of words I wrote that made me feel something, or rather connected me a bit closer to what I was feeling as I wrote them. And so, what started out as my little "punk-poetry" experiment became something much more beautiful than I had intended. There are real poems in here, not just ones I created to break the rules of poetry. Some are weird, some are bad, some are beautiful, some are ugly, some are more like journal entries.
