He knew the best way to gain recognition was to have one of his guns play a key role in a hit movie. This first happened for Harry when his 44 AutoMag was featured in 'Sudden Impact' with Clint Eastwood. So, when he was approached to come up with a large framed stainless steel semi-auto handgun for the 1984 hit, 'The Terminator', featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger, he didn't hesitate. Hollywood wanted a gun that captured the futuristic theme along with the heavy use of metals in the movie. Longslide 7" barreled 1911's were non-existent in the early 80's, so the 5" Hardballer version was originally going to be used. However, due to Arnold's large hands and looming physical stature, the gun looked very small in his hands. So, Harry decided to lengthen the barrel and slide by another 2" to make the gun stand out. The producers loved it and the rest is history. What better way to show off your piece of silver screen memorabilia, then to outfit it with your very own Terminator grips. Each grip is 100% handmade following a 10 step process. What you get is a one-of-a-kind grip that highlights the heritage of your Hardballer Longslide. These grips are made to order, so please understand that I only make them as I get orders for them. This means it may take a week or so (usually less), to get them to you.
