American Girl described it as follows: In Kit’s time, swimming and playing at the beach was a cheap and easy way to stay cool on long summer days. Kit’s swimsuit has a matching swim cap to keep her hair dry. Beach shoes and sunglasses complete her look, and the parasol keeps her from getting too much sun (it really opens and closes!)
