Description: This hardcover with dust jacket is in good condition. The pages are clean for the inside front cover and fist blank page which has an old, but kind of neat, AA inscription on it along with names. Otherwise all other pages are clean have have a slight tan to them with tight binding. But the first dozen pages have a small stain at the top corner. Red hardcover boards are in great shape. Dj is fairly good, but has some wear on the top of spine cover and the top edge has wear and small tears. The dust jacket is now in Mylar protector. (see last pics)This is a 1946 printing, originally from 1938. One will find some similarities to what was written in 1939 in our Big Book. I have scanned these pages for you to inspect for yourself:Page 143 talks about never being curedPage 135 talks about surrender to alcoholPage 184 talks about a 24 hour planPage 191 talks about Alcohol being only a symptom.Page 204 talks about reasons for relapse after 90 days of sobriety.Page 208 talks about outside issuesPage 209 talks about rationalization and justification (R&J, not an AA term, but used widely nowadays in treatment centers all over and quite true for me, even as a member of a 12 step group. But don't tell my sponsor!)Also, I have noticed there are two different copies of this hardcover book, one thinner and one thicker. This is the thinner one. However, they both have the same text inside. Please email with any questions.
