This is a part you must have as a spare. Without it, your classic Ambassadeur reel won't work well. This part keeps the spool in a proper position by giving a necessary tension to the shoulder of spool shaft. Application of this part is for all ball bearing models from 4500C~6600C with an exception of 5000De Luxe. 5000De Luxe is a ball bearing model but didn't have this part.
