The backing material will be correct in matching the originals, either being twill, wool, felt, poplin... it has to match. The thread colours are matched as close as possible and the machine used is a top of the range Tajima. We have gone into this all guns blazing. The results speak for themselves. We are re-enactors ourslelves and are fed up with the crap being peddled by all the big dealers out there for what is actual overpriced junk and they only ever sell something that resembles the most basic version.
