Description: Cast Aluminum Base from 1973 La Pavoni Europiccola Espresso Machine. Also, matching drip tray grid (not sure if stainless steel or aluminum) with one small dimple in it, as shown in the red circle in the last photo. This base is preferred as being more solid and stable compared to the bases that were made later. There's therefore less "give" when pulling a shot. The bluey-grey hammer-tone finish on the base has some chips and sections where paint is missing, as shown in the photos.
