Natural dyes oxidize over the century giving light and dark shades of each color called 'abrash' by curators, giving lots of tone nuance. Double tied knots on two foundation layers for another 100 years of utility and beauty. There is some antique wear or low pile over the century but durable and clean to serve another century.
