Description: Lot of 6 Vintage Otagiri Somayaki Somaware Cups I've had these for years. Not sure I ever used them. I bought pieces here and there over the years. Just displayed them with the rest of the pieces I'll be listing. They are double-walled with gold around the rim and around the heart shaps on the outside and a gold horse in the bottom of each cup. Two cups have alot of the gold rim and the gold horse in the bottm worn off. Each cup is approximately 3" tall x 2 7/8" across the top. I'd call these a small cup. Some are more of a gray green color and some are more green with a hint of gray. This design became popular in the 1960s and 1970s. These 3 weigh almost 2 pounds without a box or packing material. I have more of this design listed...cups with handles. IAnd small snack plates.
