The green button allows you to go through five different lighting settings. They are white lights, white lights that dim in and out, color lights, color lights that dim in and out and finally white light to color lights. Remote is NOT present. The item operates normally with the bush button on the cord. See pictures for additional details of item as they are part of the description of the item.
