Dwarf Cosmos are not picky about soils and are drought tolerant when mature. They make great cut flowers that last about a week. They transplant very well. Dwarf cosmos will tolerate some shade in the warmer southern states.If you notice a decrease in blooming, cut the plants down to 12" and they will grow back and start blooming again. Cosmos will reseed themselves readily if you don't remove spent blooms. Overall, a carefree plant that will produce loads of cut flowers.
