Older floor and wall tile was usually set in mortar, which can be gently chipped off and cleaned with a razor or diluted muriatic acid. Mid-century wall tile is usually set with mastic or other adhesives which are usually water soluble. Soak your salvaged tile in water with TSP or other detergent, even outside to warm in the sun for a couple days, and spray it off with a nozzle on your garden house. Any remaining adhesive, paint, or caulk usually comes off easily with a fingernail or razor knife.We will tightly wrap and pad your tile.
