Description: A pair of antique arts and crafts silver plated wine coasters with glass liners, made by Norton and White, Birmingham, between 1890-1906. The silver plated rims have been hammered and crimped into a ruffled pattern by hand, with N&W marks to base and possibly model numbers (1 1247) and other light hand incised numbers marked. The glass liners are frosted on the exterior and smooth inside with a cut starburst on the base. One of the liners has a significant chip - see photos - but this is not obvious in use. Otherwise condition of the items is excellent. Each coaster measures 15cm in diameter and 2cm deep. The glass liners are 9cm in diameter and 1cm deep. They will hold a standard size wine bottle. Together the pair weighs 464g. We ship worldwide. Select the right postage option for your location when checking out to see charges. Fragile items are packed and shipped with care. We sell vintage items and try to describe them accurately. You can evaluate the condition of the items in the photos but do not hesitate to contact us if you have questions.
