Now on the 240th anniversary of the Great Seal, this stunning 2022 Gilt Silver Eye of Providence coin has been released as a limited edition commemorative coin honoring the mysterious image. It features a striking ultra high relief design of the Eye of Providence, a symbol that has been associated with various philosophical, religious, and political movements throughout history. The obverse design features a heraldic depiction of the Owl of Minerva, its wide-eyed gaze looking straight at the viewer. It's wings are spread out to either side with the Eye of Providence clutched in its talons. The micro effigy of Niue rests directly above the owl. Inscriptions of the weight, purity, and denomination are also included on the design. The reverse design displays the radiant Eye of Providence hovering over an unfinished pyramid on an empty plain. The eye itself is struck incuse and is gold plated to enhance the visual appeal. The design also carries two Latin inscriptions: "ANNUIT COEPTIS" ([Providence] favors our undertakings), and "NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM"(New order of the ages). Both the obverse and reverse designs carry hidden inscriptions and symbols that will be up to you to find! Each Eye of Providence coin is struck from 2oz of 0.999 fine silver and issued as $5 legal tender by the small South Pacific Island nation of Niue. The coins available have been certified flawless MS70 Antiqued by NGC and given the First Day of Issue designation.
