Description: 2 Barling Post-Trans (1960s) : *UNSMOKED*N.O.S.* GARNET GRAIN 2nd + T.V.F. 5639 Two large bents (the Garnet Grain similar in size to Dunhill's Group 6, the T.V.F. to Group 5) by Barling from the company's post-transition period. The GARNET GRAIN is unsmoked (see in the last photo the oxidation on its stem before it was cleaned). Garnet Grain was a good series of the 1960s, however here we see the pipe stamped as a 2nd (we do not know the reason, for sure however not as a Reject). The T.V.F. (= The Very Finest) were series of the 1960s. Here we have a beautiful sandblasted which is in excellent condition except for a fault: its mouthpiece has been shortened by about 1 cm due to damage. Although it can be smoked normally, we cannot say that it has the optimum hold on the lips. The pipes are accompanied by a (single) original Barling box and a generic (not Barling) pouch. The smooth has approximate diagonal length 150 mm (5.91"), bowl height 52 mm (2.05"), chamber depth 43 mm (1.69"), chamber diameter 19 mm (0.75") and weighs 54 gr (1.90 oz).
