Description: 19th Cent Painted Wood Firkin with Cover & Wood Handle in Apple Green paint. The Firkin measures 10" diameter at the bottom and 9 1/2" diameter at the top x 9 3/4” tall (13 1/2” w/handle up). The wooden bucket is made from poplar with interlocking edged staves and a two piece bottom. It is held together with three ash hoops with tapered fingers. With the wooden handle up, it is 13 1/2” tall. The firkin with it's original top, is painted apple green on the outside. It has been left natural on the inside. There is some loss on the lid finger and a few minor cracks on the fingers. Please look carefully at the photos.
