It carries no date but was issued after 1998. The note pictures Tunku Abdul Rahman the "Founding Father" and architect of Malayan independence. He became the first Prime Minister at independence in 1957. He served until 1970 and died in 1990. "Standard Catalog of World Paper Money" (Modern Issues 1960-) by Albert Pick. #39b.
