Description: 1979 State Fair of Texas Swiss Sky Ride Token Fresh from a Dallas estate comes this vintage memorabilia piece from the 1979 State Fair of Texas in Dallas. The Swiss Sky Ride was active from 1964 until 1979 when it was dismantled after a fatal accident at the fair. This piece is a round wood token nailed to a wood fragment of one of the ride's gondolas. The fragment of gondola is painted red and white. The front side of token reads, "State Fair of Texas Swiss Sky Ride Return Trip Token." The back side of token reads, "To be Redeemed at Take Off Point for Return Trip Not Redeemable for Cash." The token measures 1 1/2"across. The gondola fragment measures 3" long by 1 3/8" wide and 1 1/2" tall. This piece is in great vintage condition! Review all photos for better condition details.
