Modern 'magnet' cars have 'magnet' downforce and will run very fast right out of the packaging. Vintage Style NOS (New-Old-Stock) Aurora T-Jet 500 cars will require regular maintenance including tuning, cleaning, and oiling just like they did back in the day. AURORA’s classic ‘Pancake’ TJet chassis design from the 1960’s is the preferred choice of racing clubs and vintage slot car enthusiasts. Slot Car Racing is an adult hobby and does not offer the same experience as new high tech toys and video games. There are adult racing clubs all over the country dedicated to racing both Vintage Style and Modern Magnet Style slot cars. Slot Car Racing is a hobby requiring mechanical skills and dexterity for driving and chassis & track maintenance. Most slot car enthusiasts are adults.
