The map is drawn on a scale of 1:500,000, and the coverage area is bounded by longitude 32°00' E to 35°30' E and latitude 32°00' N to 34°00' N. The land area occupies only a small portion of the map, with the Mediterranean Sea being the major part. The land area extends from Beirut to just south of Jaffa, on the west coast of Israel, and east to Safed in the Upper Galilee. Details include cities, towns, railroads, motor roads, natural features, and the 1949 Armistice Demarcation Line created after the 1948 Arab–Israeli War. The map's overall size is 62 x 76 cm [24½" x 30"], and it is titled "Tel Aviv." Other named places and features include Haifa, Petah Tikva, Nablus, Bay of Acre, Nazareth, the Kishon River, and Beyrouth (Beirut). This is an official Great Britain Directorate of Military Survey, War Office, and Air Ministry map, published in London more than 60 years ago. It is identified as eries 1404, Sheet,426-D, Edition 3-GSGS. Condition: It is in very good condition, bright and clean, with two small closed edge tears, outside of the image area.
