Description: For sale is an original vintage winners’ circle photo from James C. Ellis Park near Henderson, Kentucky, and Evansville, Indiana. It was taken after jockey F. Sheppard rode Alastar to victory in a one-mile race on August 26, 1958. The horse was trained by Robert G. Napper and owned by Napper, Eldon Jacobs and Gilbert Pounds. The black-and-white photo measures 7 1/2 by 9 1/2 inches and is housed in its original 10 3/4- by 13-inch frame. This item is in very good condition (see photos).
