1955 Topps Baseball Archives -- "The Missing 4 cards"

Description: When Topps issued their 1955 Topps Baseball set in 1955, four card numbers were missing. The missing card card numbers were #175, 186, 203 and #209. Topps never replaced the 4 missing cards. Over the years, collectors have speculated what players could have been on the 4 missing cards. In 1955, Topps was competing with the Bowman Bubble Gum Company for the contract rights for their respective 1955 sets. Topps issued 206 different cards and Bowman had 320 different cards. Now, here in 2024, a private collector has issued a 4 card set of the missing numbers. These "New 1955 Topps style" cards are #175 Stan Musial, #186 Richie Ashburn, #203 Mickey Mantle and #209 Bob Feller.
