Centered Decent corners Minimal wear on edges Beautiful surface Sievers played 17 years in the majors, mostly with the Senators. He was signed by the St. Louis Browns in ‘44 and in ‘49, his rookie year, he showed his colors, which were to brightened and command marquee value for the Senators, as Sievers matured into an established hitter. He batted .305, with 16 home runs, and 91 RBIs, running away with Rookie of the year honors. His prowess as a hitter, however, would emerge with the Washington ball club in ‘54 when he delivered 102 RBIs and 24 home runs. ‘57 was his best year with the Senators, leading the league in home runs (42), RBIs (114), and a .301 batting average. He finished up with 318 home runs lifetime before being released by the expansion Senators in ‘65, his former Washington teammates migrating to Minnesota by the end of his playing days.
