Description: Beautiful Lionel 685 Hudson. Fully refurbished. The locomotive and tender were completely torn down, cleaned and serviced. All original parts with original paint and lettering maintained. New/old stock heating element replaced in smoke unit to ensure reliable operation. See pictures and video for complete details. Variation C 1953 production. Free domestic shipping. The Lionel Hudson Type 4-6-4-Locomotive No. 685 was only available in 1953. Based on a Santa Fe prototype, this engine was equipped with Magnetraction, smoke, drive rod connecting rod valve gear, trailing truck plastic side frames, and there was a whistle in the tender. It came with both rubber and heat-stamped numbering of the cab and it is identical to the O27 Gauge No. 2055 except for the number change. It shares the same boiler casting with the O27 Gauge No. 2065 and the O Gauge No. 665. There are three Variations: Variation A: Came with a No. 2046W tender that had bar-end trucks a magnetic coupler. Has raised embossing on the drive rods. Early 1953 production. Variation B: Came with a No. 6026W tender and the number "685" is rubber-stamped in WHITE on the cab. Variation C: Same as Variation B except that the number is heat-stamped in WHITE on cab
