Description: Here is a 1950’s Ken-L-Ration Fido Chowhound puppy dog lamp that is in good working condition. First switch position lights up only the bottom base lamp, second switch position lights up only the top lamp, and third switch position lights up both the bottom and top together. This lamp was a very early advertising promotion in 1954 through the Ken-L-Ration dog food company. Made by F&F Mold & Die Works in Dayton, Ohio. The shade is a recreation that was decorated and hand painted exactly like the original by a professional painter. I had an original shade for him to use as a model to recreate the one you see on the lamp and it is a very nice painting. Most all of these original lamp shades for this unique lamp were destroyed or were so fragile and ripped or torn up due to their age. These lamps are next to impossible to find with the correct lamp shade. This is a great antique advertising promotion from the 1950’s that you just can’t find with the lamp shade.
