Description: Montpelier Manufacturing was primarily a builder of delivery truck bodies from 1928 until the factory was destroyed by fire in 1965. Their delivery bodies were mounted on a variety of truck chassis, but during the 1930’s and 1940’s, they were closely aligned with the Chevrolet Truck Division. This 6x9-inch folded brochure from 1934 unfolds to four-times its folded size to thoroughly present Montpelier Side-Aisle milk and bread delivery bodies installed on 1934 Chevrolet 1-1/2-ton truck chassis. The ability of the deliveryman to operate these trucks from either a seated or standing position is clearly described and illustrated. Cargo areas for delivery of both bakery and dairy goods are also shown and described.
